8 months of loving my baby boy 🥰

“Seeing the world through your child’s eyes”

“Seeing the world through your child’s eyes” this is a phrase I actually recently came across while watching a YouTube video and ever since I find myself thinking about it quite often when I am with Joey. So, I try to take Joey on a walk every day if the weather is nice. It is something that I enjoy doing and I want Joey to grow up liking the outdoors. I usually put in my AirPods as I enjoy listening to music during this time but I also find myself observing Joey. His little head never stops turning left and right! He hears a car, lawn mower, kids playing outside with their Jeep’s or he sees them on the swings. He stares at all these things until he can no longer see them anymore and then something else catches his eye. This to me brings so much emotion with it because he just simply looks at the world and takes it in exactly as he sees it. A person mowing the lawn is just a person mowing the lawn. Kids playing to him is just loud laughter and watching them run around. He doesn’t have it instilled in his brain yet to form any type of subconscious opinion when he sees these things. He just looks, takes it all in, and moves on. All of us being older and being able to understand everything around us, can not just do that anymore. We have a million thoughts racing through our heads, whereas a little baby is just constantly at peace, not a worry or bad thought insight. Being a child is the greatest innocence and now being a mom I have the joy of getting to watch and experience this everyday through my child. I think probably one of the greatest blessings.

As a first time mom I am not going to say that I wasn't not nervous for this transition. All Joey knew was bottles and the thought of something potentially making him choke scared me... BUT let me tell you it wasn't that bad, you’re baby’s instincts kick in and they know what they are ready for.

Today on the BLOG I share with you our journey with starting solids along with some of our baby feeding essentials (link in bio - recent post!)

We started Joey off on purees at 4 months and slowly worked our way up to eating actual pieces of food. He is now almost 8 months old and LOVES to eat! Might I add this little chunk can eat A LOT too haha

I feel like this can stress out so many people (parents especially) bc sometimes it can be hard to find rhythm with a new baby. As many of you may already know, both Joe and I are stay at home parents. This can sometimes add to this stress since we have limited alone time and we basically never get a break from each other... it can make you want to go a little crazy sometimes 😬

We have a pretty detailed daily routine to help create flow to our day. It helps us both feel more productive and accomplished (may I add we also don't bunk heads as much either 🤣)
